A Bit More Distance For Hatty.

After work most nights this week I have had the hatsan out in the field practicing out to 45 yards and its taken a few pellets but I've got it sussed now I think.

 

I'm not fussed about longer range shots but sometimes there is a need for one if you really can't go unnoticed so out for a quick session on the golf course just before dark and I saw my opportunity.

2 rabbits feeding near a bunker caught my eye and I clearly caught theirs as they stopped feeding and did the meerkat on me. Both sitting right up watching and preparing to bolt so I guestimated 40 yards and turned the mag down just in case.

They gave me just enough time to get down to resting on 1 knee and take the shot.....an olympic quality back flip told me the shot was good and his pal legged it. (Very wise)

On inspection, the shot could have been a wee bit to the left but it was lights out stright away so I'm happy with it and it was 42 yards so I'm glad I magged down a bit.
