just a fun topic i thought might be interesting(to me anyway)....I always fancied these type saluki bred hounds,,I enquired a few years ago about purchasing one but thought the parents were not bred for the right reasons,money being the only reason I thought,,other than trawling through the whole of seagulls topic,does anyone here keep this type,have seen them work on other stuff than just big rabbits ....maybe in time i will chase up on a pup of this ilk,if they are game decent lines,I know you get broken coated dogs from other x's like wheaten/deerhound etc but its the real wooly types id be likeing...I wait in hope lol

Wasn't there a line of coursing dogs that had beddy grey in and that's how they ended up with the coat ,lad on here had one he put a pic up of it shaved.??

They're saluki lurchers mate, go back to Merlin and Eve etc, heard a saluki cross went over a bitch belonging to Mick D, some say this is where some of these get the woolly coats from, Toby the sire to Merlin was said to be Bed/Grey X Sal/Grey

I've just recently bred some pups out of two of my own mongrels & could very well see one or two of the offspring resembling these in the forthcoming months..Wouldn't surprise me in the least ✌

Don't know if you get whole litters, think they just crop up with shorter coated pups variable looking dogs but there's a lot of this bloodline about

Old Norfolk type xsalukis another words Lurcher xs the desert hounds there was plenty of these types around seventies beanie etc,Staffordshire and Leicestershire was a hot bed for them ,I believe in most parts the specific type modern breeds seem ta have made these types not has common as they were ,shame really the Lurcher types were great knock about rabbit bird jukels I suppose the desert hound was the ingredient that blessed these here isles with the best long ear killers in existence those types have given me memories from times back aways old friends now gone rip my friends of old I have no doubt halls be a hunting where Eva thy be. ive had my misfits outa merlin and eve the first breedin i can assur you there wer no wooly jumpers all smooth just look at how they wer bred near pure to a brocken dog the wolly coats came from [BANNED TEXT] gary put eve to fred i had a dog outa that matin brother to seagull micky d owned joe outa lilly and merlin another broken coated dog there was another litter sister lady who also throw some good stuff [BANNED TEXT] put to merlin and fred i had pups out of both mateings

I do like a nice rough dog, especially a red one, think the scouser dog is broken coated and I ice that in a world of white greyhound identikit coursing dogs

Unusual looking dogs,...I liked them....
