ow ive no birds of prey 2 different pairs of magpies have nested at the bottom of my garden in the connifers,i was going to shoot them but i thought if any one wants a call bird for the larsen trap there there,at one time i would of wiped them straight out ,but not doing much shooting now as ive no birds to feed

ha ha ,i was tempted mate,but years ago when i was a ten year old before i kept birds of prey i had a young magpie for 2 years flew it ,it was a proper pet very clever bird and very good to train ,so i fancy giving another one a go,they have such a bad name and they deserve itbut i will leave these ones alone for the time being

Yes I have heard of them being trained from chicks before and as you say, incredibly smart!

well i had to take a crow out that was megging the magpie today thats a first,but the logun pro mk2 with a nice accupell done the job
