Ace's dam was an ideal size for you and work below also. i think she was around ten inch tts. my bitch amber was Ace's litter sister .just under 12. but very fine built. there are a few folk using them to ground with good results.

years ago i changed the way i work my dogs and dropped in line with the laws. i got a few plummers and they did what i needed with style. although if i was to get back to digging the amount i used to

very testing these two

Thanks, seem to spend a lot of time on memory lane nowadays, This is the sire on the left with the litter sister to the tri coloured bitch.

Just sort of how things worked out-first plummer bitch, got her for bushing but she liked going to ground and staying there- bred her twice once to a plummer and once to a pitbull-bred the half pit daughter to a patterdale-black dog in photo is a son of that bitch..some very good some not as good.ive his mother in pup to her half brother (by a glen of imaal) at the moment..maybe id have more plummer in them if certain dogs hadnt died to ground;got nicked;ran over etc.

. Any pics of the glen mate ?

i know little of plummer terriers apart from what ive read but i got talking to a guy an english lad who ran a small hotel, boarding house between kilsyth and denny and he told me his and his partners plummers were the correct way bred as plummer had started them and left them with the information to take the dogs nearer what his plans were for the breed, i think the name leigon was their affix also seem to remember him say they had bought the hotel after moving from one of the isles, he had a smart little terrier running around, i ended up buying a terrier box from him.ps i think tim was his name

Jonny I visited Legion kennels in December 2010 to pick a Plummer dog and bitch up"Jen"and "Ty".kennels were owned by Sue Rothwell and Tim Green. They took over from Brian's breeding programme. Lot of controversy over this breeding program by a lot of folk. After my Plummer Bitch "Bunty" gave birth to two still born pups I needed to source another pup. After visiting numerous people and kennels of so called Plummer owners and getting filled with shite and dogs I just didn't like the look of ,to big small etc. On visiting legion kennels they were at the time of visiting the most levelled out terriers i,d seen. So cutting a long story short i own 2 cracking little teriers of type and working abbity that im more than happy with. My knowledge and involvment with more like minded people involved in the working Plummer terrier will for certain ensure i will continue to work these little tykes for a while yet, through right nreeding for health and work atb keith j.

The sexual dimorfism was rife at Uropean terrier show a few year ago. Some idiot told me his big dogs were for above and small dogs for below work. However I'll not say who it was "Glen" the horn blowing tossa....
