Peadair 27
Any recommendations for the type of compound to use for glass bedding a rifle? Cheers, Quote Link to post
The Lord Flashheart 73
Devcon Steel bed 110110 is the stuff that the professionals recommend but I have used JB Weld Steel reinforced epoxy as it can be found in Robert Dyas in tubes just like the normal stuff. You want something that isn't flexible epoxy, isn't quick setting epoxy and is steel filled or reinforced. 1 Quote Link to post
Peadair 27
Thanks for the info. I did wonder if the JB stuff would be suitable. Quote Link to post
The Lord Flashheart 73
The steel gives it more compressive strength and hardness than straight epoxy, there may very well be some differences between JB and Devcon in this regard but they will be insignificant compared to the differences between either of them and non-steel filled epoxy. 1 Quote Link to post
