I prefer to buy in or breed a pup to bring on.I always find I get a better bond with a dog that I've reared and trained from an early stage.

That said I have bought in twice, both times because of long term injuries.I must add the two of them were only bought after having a trial with.

Got to be a pup for me aswell everytime, at least then you know what your getting... A blank Canvas !!!!

In my opinion someone who has a young dog for sale may not have reared and trained the youngster in the same way has you would have done yourself. Some quality's that one owner look's for and may have already instilled in the dog also may be an annoying fault to the next man !!!!

After saying all this Decent (UNSPOILT) Young dog's are as RARE has hen's teeth....

it has to be a pup, why buy in , you may buy somebody's problem, take it this way , ask yourself why someone is selling an adult dog if it's any good, they are hard to come by , so why sell , rear a pup , not only will it be great fun , sometimes frustrating , but really great especially when it turns out just the way you want.:thumbs:

Moslty pups but my good bitch I have now I got as a 12 mth old that had done nothing, just been caged. Then I picked up a 5yr dog from someone that couldnt keep him and between the 2 of them they were invincible. Both top dogs working separate or together.

Also have 2 here Ive had from pups and I dont see any difference in them all.

Personally, i prefer a pup, but have got in adults in the past and in some cercumstances, have eventually found why they were let go.

Now if i need a adult dog, i would have to see the dog running or know the person who is selling it, so as i could trust their word. ;)
