pianoman 3,587
Hi there Renos! I melt them down into ingots as nose weights for my model aircraft kits. I often use models in my aviation paintings as far as possible. Aircraft models which have a nose wheel, need a counter weight! 2 Quote Link to post
philpot 4,990
I tend to pass them on to a pal for melting down into fishing weights which reminds me, he owes me some. Phil 2 Quote Link to post
Rez 4,961
Good question.... to much. Pretty stocked up now, but used to go through a tin every fortnight. So about 20 quid a month. 1 Quote Link to post
ratbuster 807
Melt them down for loaded sticks, fishing weights (jig heads) and catapult ammo. Can also be used in your backstop to silence it. But you need a serious amount to fill the back of your backstop, unless you have a very small backstop.... 2 Quote Link to post

MartinJGUK 14
Hi there Renos! I melt them down into ingots as nose weights for my model aircraft kits. I often use models in my aviation paintings as far as possible. Aircraft models which have a nose wheel, need a counter weight! Wow this takes me back! I used to pinch my brothers fishing weights to put in the noses of my Airfix kits then deny everything. It takes a lot of BB's to keep a B24 level, apparently. Quote Link to post
