Farmer In Court Over Shooting Theif

If the guy was stealing then he deserves to be shot and it's a travesty the cps ever went ahead with a prosecution whether he's found not guilty or not. If the guy was lamping a few rabbits and the farmers taking potshots at him then I think we,ll all agree he's out of order and wants locking up.

I knew this comment was going to come up and I disagree. That would give would be thiefs an excuse when on the rob. If your sneaking about someone's farm at that time in the morning then prepare to be shot.

I'm pretty sure anyone poaching a few rabbits doesn't want to be anywhere near the farmhouse.

No I think by the sounds of this guy he's a wrong un upto to no good, but I wouldnt appreciate being shot for wandering around farmland with a lurcher
Im sure you wouldn't as you know fine well that you were not on the rob. But this is where the problem lies. If the courts are too side with the 'victim' then they can make up a number of theries to be there. Whereas if they were to side with the owner of the property a bit more often it might make these thieving c**ts think again about stealing shit.

It's a difficult one either way. But if you are somewhere you shouldn't be then paying the consequences might come hand in hand with that.

The consequences of hunting should never be getting shot, by what your saying your giving excuses to farmers and gamekeepers to shoot poachers as they'll just say they thought they were thieves, infact in the eyes of the law and the gamekeepers they are thieves. If someone's in the farmhouse/shed give them both barrels for all I care. Thinking about this I am glad it's gone to court if the old guy acted as he said then he,ll be fine and at least it'll let any wanna be Rambo farmers and gamekeepers know they'll have to justify there actions if the pull that trigger.
We will agree to disagree then. Be long time coming when I run out onto the farm and shout "hey you there, are you stealing stuff or out poaching? Just so I know before I shoot you"
So basically anyone who walks into your farmyard your going to run straight out and shoot them?
Nope. We are talking about in the middle of the night. And I wouldn't shoot anyone intentionally..??

I hope you are right. But it should never get to this stage. If he wasn't a doddery old boy and instead was a strong rough type character who a jury might look on less sympathetically then he could ea

spot on, and if true that he been a dog thief as well , pity the old bloke put 12 g in his face , be one less dog thief .But you are right , ive been many a time somewhere i shouldnt have been lamping game , never went close to any farm buildings houses , i kept away in case they got any dogs there that start barking and get the aggro from it. lets face it people who going to pinch stuff from a farm, house etc , there not going to use a 1 million cp lamp, and light up the bloody farm, they use a torch with just enough light for the job. it used piss me off when say lads are lamping the fields are up to no good and steal from the farms, it crap , most lads are after wild animal rabbits etc , and for the very reason above .

Great result, I thought so too...........oh wait, except he now has a £30k legal bill to pay!

It should never have left the farmer's kitchen after a quick chat with the police.

The dosey twats searched his farm for f***ing hostages FFS! Forensics, ARU, helicopter, the works!

Won't he be entitled to anything to pay his legal costs then ?

This Fukcer was obviously out to steal (I've lamped 35yrs never once in the farmers yard, and why would you go near the yard with no permission all hrs of the night with your lights out , they where there but 100% not to lamp) when it literally backfired the tossed obviously seen his "injury" as a money maker , thankfully now the old boy is acquitted he won't get a penny . . 1 pellet and to think Blair send people to a false war to die & didn't even get questioned sums it this place up . . In the states the old boy would of been praised . The old boy should be left to get on with his life , oh and put a sign at the start of the drive "Last uninvited guest was shot" that I'd keep most away :) :) ;)

What annoys me is this shitb*ll is still in a wheelchair 16 months after it happened and yet lads come back from Afghanistan with legs blown off and are walking again quicker than this waste of oxygen. The tw*ts just holding out for compo and disability for the rest of his natural.

I have no idea. You'd have thought so plus compensation for the trouble but based on the man's quote he didn't give that impression. Reckoned he'd need a loan and have to pay it back over a long time.

If I were family with the poor old bloke the little rat would be getting two broken hands and kneecapped as extra compensation.

To the useless pigs, I don't know how they fcuking sleep at night.

They dont, too busy out on the rob, the filth will have no doubt never done a days work in his life, sleep all day out robbing at night, great result, common sense for once.
