Personally I can't stress enough how highly I put the right for an individual to defend their family and property from violence, damage or theft. For me he should have been well within his rights to go out there with a f***ing Uzi! All this 'reasonable force' is all well and good in the court room, it's a different matter in the dark on your own faced with an unknown quantity!

I hope you are right. But it should never get to this stage. If he wasn't a doddery old boy and instead was a strong rough type character who a jury might look on less sympathetically then he could easily be prosecuted and that's wrong. What he did any man/woman in a country that values individual liberty should completely support and explicitly and leniently be given the right to in law/the constitution.

 

God I'm sick of listening to progressive types hark on about liberties for gays to marry and minorities to flourish when the most fundamental liberty in a democracy is being pissed on and with very few seeming to care these days.

 

What's more, even if he is found not guilty with no legal consequences whatsoever he'll most likely find his Tyrannical Chief Constable takes his fecking gun off him with nothing more to justify it than the tyrants own whim!

i would of shot the fecker and fed him to the pigs,last year i got warned off the police after a flash bang went off in my back garden,and some was injured ,i had all my birds of prey at the time and a seven foot fence all around my property with 24 hour cctv,,so what was he doing in the property at 4 in the morning,out to steal i told the police i live bye my self and theres a good few traps set in my garden that would only hurt a human being not any wild life,thdey said well we have warned you and i said traps will remain no one can access property as all gates are locked at all times ,plus theres 20 foot conifers all around about 5 foot wide so you would really have to struggle to get in ,you should of saw this pri,s face on cctv when he got a good smack from a object and flash bang went off,i will protect my property the way i want
