RSVNelly 518
Normally if something goes wrong I'm straight on the phone to Jimmy & Sean or on here asking for help, however I actually sorted out an air rifle issue on my own! No really I'm telling the truth! I'd ordered some internal upgraded parts for the Rapid and they arrived yesterday so I thought I'll have a go at fitting them surely it can't be that difficult compared to a 50 Cal Maching Gun or a GPMG. Well after about 2 and a half hours the Rapid was back in one piece, however when I tried to put the buddy bottle on it was leaking air out of the barrel before I could get it on. So powers of deduction, ? put the original bottle holder back on, nope same result. My normal feeling at this point is panic followed by , "it always happens to me". This time I thought about the problem and had a quick google search, I've tonight gone back changed the exhaust valve seals, valve holder seal, bottle holder seals and buddy bottle seals, I also adjusted the bottle holder valve so it didn't protrude as far. I can't believe I've actually sorted the issue, the buddy bottle now screws on, no leaks I'm really proud of myself ??. It is still leaking air out of the magazine housing though but hopefully this will get sorted on Mon/Tue next week when the barrel gets threaded for a new moderator. I fitted a new sight today (Falcon 5.5 - 25 x 56 ffp Scope) which looks cracking and is a beautiful piece of glass, then I'm thinking next couple of weeks ??????? new paint job ???? 9 Quote Link to post
