Guest Ditch_Shitter
FROM CERTAIN DEATH! December 14, 2007 12:10am TWO family dogs are being hailed as heroes after they saved a two-year-old boy from drowning in a dam at a property near Mackay yesterday morning. Police said the dogs, a Rottweiler cross and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, dragged the boy from the water after he had wandered on to a neighbouring property's dam. The owner of the property had heard a noise about 11am and had run to the dam, which was about 100 m from the house. The woman found the boy lying on the embankment of the dam covered in mud with the two dogs, usually thought of as aggressive breeds, by his side. Police said there were drag marks from the waters edge to where the boy was lying and small scratches on his arms from the dog's claws. "We are certain the dogs pulled him out of the dam," a police spokesman said. "It is an amazing story." The Queensland Ambulance Service said the mother and child were taken to Mackay Base Hospital as a precaution, and the child did not need CPR. They were believed to recovering at home yesterday evening. Here's the original link: Australia. Now, just how much International, Front Page f*cking coverage do ye think That story will recieve? Eh? pointer28 1
A friend of mine lived in Australia twenty years ago before Pit Bulls became famous over here as man eating devil dogs. While he was over there he had a pit bull as a pet along with his family of three children all under the age of five. They were quite common as pets over there at the time and had no reputation as vicious dogs. His was absolutely fantastic as a family pet and house guard. Unfortunately, it was killed by a snake bite. When he returned to Ireland five years later, he couldn't believe that the breed that he had grown to know and love was being portrayed as such a devil dog. Now, this man has been a career Gardai (policeman) his entire working life and has had plenty of experience of the low lifes in this world and he is still firmly of the belief that vicious dogs are a product of their owners. My thanks to " Cath " for highlighting this instance for us This story makes the dogs more useful than PCSO's (who, incase anyone doesn't know, watched a child drown without helping because "they weren't properly trained".
