Country Mans This Week.

I think the CMW is ok for what it is. It's very pc and I don't mean that in a bad way its on the shelves on most corner shops so it has to be. What's the need of showing a terrier smashed to bits or a dog latched on to a Fox? We all see it every weekend so why do we needed to see it in a book or mag. It doesn't do the sport any favour.

I hear where you are coming from and totally agree, yet the reason id not waste brass on the CMW is the fecking nuggets that write with expert opinion and they don,t have a fecking clue,id take P.T. out of the publication and its a joke.I can read between the lines and get the gist of a purposeful article, the majority of the articles, terrier and lurcher orientated are written by folk that like a less educated audience.

I was once sent to a shrink because of my reluctance to spend brass and owning Bedlingtons.

LOL, unless you read an article or a post on here from start to finish how do you make your mind up that someones a nugget ?

You must have made your mind up by reading several of their posts or articles to come to that conclusion ?

So who's the nugget ?

The person writing these things or the person who keeps reading them ?

:hmm:Cannot speak for others,..only for myself,...but I would always support Dave Harcombe ...

Nobody is perfect, least of all me.... :yes:But,..whatever the man's motives (financial or otherwise),for originally producing his EDRD project,..there is no denying the fact that he offered, an alternative to the mainstream Country Sport magazines.. At the time,..those of us not in favour, had no voice,...no chance of putting matters straight,.of keeping it real, etc...I no longer see the mag these days, so can only comment on those early years..

That being said, he will always have my respect,..and deepest gratitude,...especially for getting me out of a really difficult situation...

Dave will get my £40 subscription for as long as he continues to produce the magazine! I have always found him to be helpful and courteous at all times and I am a great believer in speak as you find! He will always have his critics but he will always have his fair share of supporters! Still digging in his 80's with lads who I know think the world of him! Pride keeps him going and surely is that such a bad thing really??
