Greyman 28,432 Posted March 3, 2017 Report Share Posted March 3, 2017 I done my mercury in Danish oil, does,nt have lovely grain but still a much better finish than the sadlin they put on from new, with a grain like that it should come out lovely and the nice thing about oil is that it feeds the wood, you can top it up each year and you can determine the colour by the number of coats you put on also not as slippery when it gets wet, sorry the picture ain't great but you get the ideal 4 Quote Link to post
