jiggy 3,209
Don't see much difference in a 21 inch Bull/whippet and a 22inch Bull grey if anything the whippet would be a more natural hunter with a little more brain/field craft bred from generations of ferreting and bushing dogs. A wheaten/hound might suit some lads they don't tend to throw too big around 22 inches and if bred right will have plenty in the tank for a hard season and enjoy it. Can be an advantage been hairy too. 2 Quote Link to post
Penda 3,341
I've heard of some good whippet bulls around years ago but don't see to many about now a lot of the breeding can be ruined be using either a not so good bull or a not so good greyhound I've got a 3/8 5/8 bull grey at the moment and his mom is off of a working bull and a working grey she's not a big bitch at all she's 23" to the shoulder probably not even that and she can punch way above her own weight and the father to my pup is a genuine 3/4 grey 1/4 bull all going back to working stuff he's an old dog now and think unfortunately it's hard to come by any decent stuff in this day and age that's my opinion change of times and with the ban and stuff doesn't help Quote Link to post
THE STIFFMEISTER 16,351
Personally I'd rather have a bull type from two working hybrids proven in the beam than first cross anything 2 Quote Link to post
bird 10,005
Personally I'd rather have a bull type from two working hybrids proven in the beam than first cross anything yeh , ive seen over the years some bull x greys bred that way , and not over big and quite fast dogs , they were 2nd gen 1x bull x greys , if you could get that % with a bull x whippet, be spot on, i deff have one, but but lads to day just use greys to bull, not to whippets , so be hard to get this type x in a bull x whippet , but as they say you never know whats around the corner .? Shaddy93 840
Can only go on my own experience and I can't fault this cross feisty little crazy things get stuck into anything if there bred right, only reason I favour the bull greyhound over them is because the bull whippets lacks in gears and top end speed imo 2 Quote Link to post
