mattwhite 1,993
Well after Doris visited on Thursday, yesterday was lovely but work gets in the way of pleasure so no shooting. Anyway I got up this morning hoping for a decent day and its bloody blowing 50mph again with 65mph gusts!!!! Not to be outdone I headed off to my local farm perm hoping for some action in the buildings on ferals but when I got there there wasn't 1 flying rat to be seen so out with some maggie decoys on the silage and wait........and wait but nothing then in came this collared dove straight into the cattle feed store across the yard. I had estimated it to be around 37 yards and with the wind I gave it 1 mildot to the right. With all the head bobbing I went for a crop shot and down he came so not a fruitless trip out and another clean kill for hatty. ATB fellas. 8 Quote Link to post

I've got a 95 that I've tinkered with.. it needed it but with the price of the premium hw's /aa's being so much more than the lesser bsa's and the likes I'm thinking!!! is it really worth the extra £££ your doing the bizz with a sub 100 quider the 95's not a renowned contender but both these rifles lack the dead weight that soakes up the recoil but fill the bag.... are the ps/tx/77/97 the bees knees or is it just the heavy chunk of wood soaking up the slack on our behalf!! hmmm looking forward to the rabbits surfacing properly cos that 900 and the bloke pulling the triggers gonna cause a stir atb si 1 Quote Link to post

Get one bought Si. Treat it as a project. It will undoubtedly be bone dry inside and will need a polish. It will benefit from an extra washer to take it to just above 11 ft lb with 15.9s in .22 and some proper lubrication. This will eliminate the twang to a reassuring thud. The only bummer is the trigger. I think I mentioned before that Will used to do a trigger unit for them but stopped as materials became to expensive to make it viable. Then do whatever you feel necessary to the stock....you could even do a Nelly!!! (Sorry Nelly) and I guarantee you will shock yourself with what a sub £100 rifle can achieve?? 1 Quote Link to post
si brown 8,486
think i might get my old striker back, my mates got it.. bet its still covered in cement from living in back of me van the black and orange stock will probably look better with a nellys wellys make over but i know if its not been touched it'll need a coil or two removing not adding 1 Quote Link to post
