secretagentmole 1,701
Cheap and cheerful = save your cash for better mate Well you do not know what you are talking about! This is a BSA Ultra with a Gamo SAT trigger. Gamo Whisper silencer glued on too! It may be cheap but there is some quality in it! Now for £490 you can buy a knackered HW100 with all sorts of dings, marks and probable neglect, then still need a scope and a way to fill it, oh and a gun bag to carry it all in, not to mention some ammo. Alternatively you can buy a Gamo Phox package, which has the gun (with glued on silencer), a scope and mounts, gun bag, pellets, targets too, oh yes and a high pressure pump to fill your new gun with. As a starter package it is amazing value. Seeing as the gun is a BSA Ultra SE with a Gamo trigger (which is not that bad actually, a nice 2 stage) you won't buy better and if you are after a .22 pcp set up including charging system I would guide you to this rather than any Hatsan or SMK. Jonjon79 13,358
Aren't Ultras shit? Can't argue with the results that Mole's been getting in his recent hunting posts 1 Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Aren't Ultras shit? Can't argue with the results that Mole's been getting in his recent hunting posts There is the Ultra MMC and the Ultra SE, the Phox is an Ultra SE. I have always maintained that the Ultra MMC was a good gun buggered up by a crap cocking system. Had one, never liked it, MMC was not micro movement, was at least an inch, probes break, release switches break, lousy shout count even in .22, never liked it, but it was one thing, accurate! The SE was a different kettle of fish, being more of a Scultra than an Ultra. The woeful MMC was replaced by a rear bolt which cocked and loaded with a single operation. Quote Link to post
