Very very sad news , what a life she had with you though and reading of her going downhill was gutting. Right decision and when it's not so raw reflect on the good times .

It is so sad to read this, but you can take heart in that you know she had the best care and a very fulfilled life and that you always did the right thing for her, and when the time came as it does for all things that are made of flesh and blood, you did the right thing for her again. It is a very big wrench but a dog like Nell should not live a half life on medication. All i can say is thank you Nell, you have given me lots of enjoyment reading about your hunting exploits and i will go back and re read them all. R.I.P Nell, the little dog that left a big impression.

For me to sit here offering many thanks to you all for your kind words, just doesn't seem enough, its nice for me to know that over the years, you have enjoyed my days out in the field with Nell, if I hadn't got a pup to bring on, I would certainly have called it a day, but like ive said before, I still seek adventure, not dementia, Socks, hope your dog is on the mend , my last on Nell now folks, shes gone but I will never ever forget her, ive lost my best pal

Heart breaking but what a good quality life that bitch had, I lost one of mine to exactly the same condition last year, hard decision to make but she also gave me that look and I knew what she wanted. R.i.p

Never heard of Cushing disease but is it a type of cancer . Lost a bitch while back to exact same thing .She was yellow all over ,pissing yellow and wobbling .My vet said it was lepto but I said enough is enough and did the right thing . Your pain is evident mate but you will look back knowing you did her right .All the very best to you ,your wife and hope that pup is half the dog Nell was . Chin up mate .

Been over a year now sin I took her to the vets, and I will never forget the moment she laid her head on my shoulder as the needle went in, ive never been the same since, and that's no lie, every time I go out I see her, I lost my best friend on the day
