Richard Collett 102
So I have finished polishing my piston, if only I had a lathe...and knew how to use one hahaha. But here's the finished product, all in prob an hours work. Just putting autosol on before the final spin in the drill... And hopefully this will start to make tiny differences in her shooting cycle and aid in making her a better rifle. what to polish next...mmmm....lol 1 Quote Link to post
Richard Collett 102
Even though he spring, guide will be replaced I have polished the spring ends and the metal on the bottom of the guide. Least then I can tell you the improvements just better QC on weihrauchs own internals can make a difference...or not??? Before shots After 15mins, a quick job... I'm going to re lube, put her back toge Her and take some test shots, I'll have her apart again once my service kit arrives, but let's have a little play and see if what I have done has made any improvements Quote Link to post

Richard Collett 102
So i have had a few problems with the re build, nothing major and im gonna have to finish the re build tonight. Firstly i misplaced the little screw that goes into the trigger unit which is why i couldnt get the stock to screw back on. The second problem has been getting the rifle to cock, still not sure why it wouldnt so i have taken her apart and decided to start again. I did put a pre load washer in and thought that was the reason but it wasnt...if u have any ideas please share. I did fire the trigger so thats not the reason ATB Quote Link to post
tomburras 2,729
Hi Richard have you pushed the sear latch in the trigger into cocked position before putting the trigger unit into the gun? Then fired the trigger before trying to cock it? Edit - oops ignore that I just read again and you did.) 1 Quote Link to post
tomburras 2,729
Replacement screw available here..... https://www.gunspares.co.uk/products/24578/HW99/ Part b1087 (if it's the little rear one you need) £3.64 Quote Link to post
dayglowfrog 56
Not cocking can sometimes be as simple as to be much lube and it's got all over the Sears. Quote Link to post
Richard Collett 102
Defo not too much lube, only sparingly put lube on internals. I havent had time to put her back together, maybe tonight or tomorrow after work I'll see if I can solve is problem. 2 more weeks to go and my WW kit should arrive 1 Quote Link to post
Richard Collett 102
Have not updated this thread for some time now but today I have had a delivery that has made me very happy... So today I received my Welsh Willy drop in kit, with piston sleeve what surprised me as I never got one with my HW77 drop in kit. So in the coming days I'm going to put my rifle back together (hopefully with no cocking problems) then I'll bed the new spring in and finish of my review. 27days from order to delivery for the WW kits so no too bad and looking forward to getting her firing again. Fingers crossed I don't have power issues. I have also found a place that cut and thread barrels so that is still an option but if I do it I'll pay someone to do it professionally. Think it will cost just under £100 to do I'll keep this thred updated as things progress ATB RIchard 2 Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
It wants to be a bloody good job mate for a ton, that is rather steep to say the least, I would have another check round, £60 should get you a first class job, let us know how you get on with the kit mate, and get that Vortek seal on Quote Link to post
