jukel123 7,957
Be careful what you wish for those fans who want to see the back of Wenger. The man has been your saviour. You don't have the financial clout of the rich clubs, yet Wenger has consistently bought good players and made them great players. Arsenal have won more than their fair share of silverware over the years-far more than their wages bill would suggest they should. The club always appear in the Champions league and receive big money as a result. Wenger even went a whole season without his team being beaten in the premier league. I don't think that will ever be repeated. So wake up short memory Arsenal fans who are stabbing Wenger in the back. Do you really think a new manager will take over and achieve more than Wenger has? If you do you are delusional. Edited February 20, 2017 by jukel123

lanesra 3,994
Short Memories . . 12yrs & 2 FA cups , he's had about £90 million in wages in that time , you say be careful what you wish for well I don't wish for the same collapse yr in yr out as has happened for the last 12yrs , he & the board are all about ££££££ earned for them , he had Suarez yet insulted Liverpool with his £40 million + a pound so lost him for the sake of what he spent on Karl Jeninkson !! Yes he has 8 very good yrs , he stated once we'd sorted the stadium finance out we'd compete with your Barcelonas & Bayern Munichs . . Eeerrrr right oh , in 12mths we've lost 10-2 to Bayern in 2 away games PATHETIC . . I personally want him gone as he repeats the same old excuses yr in yr out , his favourite saying is "We Won't Over-Spend" . . But that's Exacly what he expects the fans to do yr in yr out !!
ArchieHood 3,692
You were never getting Suarez.......

lanesra 3,994
I'm not arguing about it Go and read what Carragher says . Suarez was there for the taking yet he dithered financially and lost a player who'd of been the difference between winning the league or finishing in the top 4 . . But top 4 ensures the £££ which doesn't go to enhance the team as has been proved the last 12yrs . . Arsenal with Sanchez & Ozil is as successful as Arsenal with Chamack & Arteta so as I've said no difference as it's the manager who Instills the personality on the pitch . . I hate to agree with him but Maurinhio was right "Who in football would last as long as Wenger has with his failures"
ArchieHood 3,692
You can't buy a player that is not for sale, he was not for sale.......simple.Torres forced his way out, the owners weren't going to let it happen again. The release clause was to notify the player of an offer, which they did and then turned down. These are facts not fairytales.
lanesra 3,994
Jukel you say we haven't the financial clout of the rich clubs . . Really . .The Russian alisher Usmanov the 2nd largest shareholder is worth $15 billion and actually wants to spend his & the clubs money which would enable them to compete with anyone , yet Kronke sits on his hands all yr until its Pay Day and does not want Usmanov involved . , wonder why ?? Ps Abramovich is worth $9 billion

Lol you actually contradict yourself . . So Torres forced his way out but Suarez wouldn't of been able to . . Contracts aren't worth the appear there written on as has been proved time and time again Payet being the latest . . Oh and you obviously know more than a man who was around the situation at the time Jamie Carragher who stated "A £50 million bid would of secured him for Arsenal" and if you try and state you know better than him your away with the fairies :)
ArchieHood 3,692
I know a man that has contacts at the club, and I believe him, same man that told me Arsenal are making provisions for a new manager.Wenger will leave if they can persuade Allegri to commit himself.Wenger will move upstairs as a DOF if not and coach Viera into the role. But hey, if you wanna listen to a pundit. Of course there have been disappointments but there have been a lot of great moments too and I worry how the gunners will fare without him at the helm.

cragman 2,763
You can almost detect the disappointment in the BBC commentators voice that Arsenal are walking this game
