Michael Watson Carjacked

Recommended Posts

Heard on the news yesterday that he was dragged from his car in an attempted car jack ... if he hadn't been injured in the ring can you imagine the shock those maggots would have had .......

The wankers probably didn't have a clue who he was either, not that that would have stopped them anyway. I've seen Michael Watson when I was working in London, likely the best boxer out of the trio with himself, Eubank and Benn.

It's a few years ago now but if I remember correctly Benn beat Watson fair and square and was robbed against Eubanks.

Benn V McClelland put IMO Benn up there with the greats.

JMHO.

Think you mean Watson beat Benn fair and square and was robbed against Eubank........which i wouldnt disagree with....the second fight he was way out in front and only needed to hear the final bell to win.

Shocking to hear this car jacking stuff stone me Chingford is hardly the Bronx its been his home for the last 25 years as well its not like nobody knows him there......so wouldnt surprise me if they targeted him....c**ts !

He seemed a decent down to earth bloke before his accident , he was a cabbie at the time (maybe part-time with a his training) I've only ever been to 1 boxing match and that was it at White hart lane , I'd watched Arsenal at Highbury in the afternoon & went there that night , he loves Arsenal , terrible ending , those who done this to him couldn't lace his boots as a Man .

I can recall Eubank claiming he must have been on PED's in their rematch stating he was too strong to be natural. Watson had the victory sewn up until the 11th round. I know it's generally considered that it was that monster uppercut that caused the damage in that round but he was shaken up and took some big shots at the beginning of the 11th. The outcome of that fight was tragic for both warriors.
