Tell you what fella you crack on all I was doing was trying to help you so you didn't have to get rid of your dog but clearly your the type of person that knows everything and doesn't need any suggest

It sounds all well and good but to risk getting your dogs took and all the agg that goes with it dont warrant it in my book , used to love seeing them about 10yr ago but a days ferreting or just a wal

just looking for a good home for this bitch   I CAN NOT BREAK HER TO DEER   tried everything so its not fair on her good rabbiter as i only work rabbit   no problems with her every place i go i

Why is it not good to have them to tight ?????????

To keep the collar where it should be it would have to be tight under the neck this maybe fine walking about but I wouldn't want my lurchers breathing hampered by them metal prongs even if it's only dashing around for rabbits. You can get e-collars with the rubber cover or the ones used on malis and shepherds there prob the best bet or as bosun said get her a home where her talents are out to good use.either way best of luck with her cracking stamp ??

Stop worrying about breaking her and find her a good home where her talents are appreciated....

spot on paul  , plenty of lads would use for what she likes lol. as long as you could get her back to you, after she run one thats the main thing. i get this all the while with my 2 dogs, they will go after the deer = munchak . where i go there few in the woods, only yesterday they were after them, old Bryn was away for 5 mins, but Buck bloody near 15 mins, he comes back blood on his face , cuts and rips on face from thick brambles . they love it lol what i do is stay in one spot and just call them back, they will come back, once they know the place/ routes , just wait for them. the worst i had with Buck was on differnt place chassed some fallow was fookin gone 1 hour but he came back to the motor, same again just keep calling they try to get back to you or if they get it you got your dinner that week :D

That's right, when the dog takes off after deer, it's best to stay where the dog last saw you, that's where they make their way back to, fifteen minutes feels like a very long time when your dog is out of sight, and at the current rate of deer populations increasing and unmanaged in a lot of places, it's set to become a more common occurence for working and pet dog owners alike

They reckon the UK deer population could have doubled since about 1999, that is an unreal amount, we've only got roe up here in the north east, and they make it hard to exercise the dogs, must be a real pain in other parts of the country where there are more than one species of deer to contend with

You lot should be grateful for what you got in your patch and if you dont like it m, boot a couple up the arse over to the North West...

Plenty in North West Bosun, last couple of years they've been turning up occasionally within 500yds of my front door in Salford...

Frodo is a 3 year old much loved staff/terrier.. He has bounds of energy, in fact too much energy and is getting too boisterous for our much older staff.

He was brought in to our home by error as a pup and we just cant give him the time/attention he needs because of work commitments.

would ideally suit a more active life than what we can provide for him..A great guard dog because of his alertness..
Not worked but he is game when out walking in the fields

      Clean,strong, chipped, friendly, home/farm/working dog.

      Chester location
