Nik_B 3,790
Great video, worth remembering the pollution mentioned, it wasn't all roses back then. The tributaries to the Mersey where I used to live were absolutely dead and lifeless when I was a kid, now they have brown trout in them and they've found Salmon parr in the Mersey. I grew up reading books of men tickling trout and dreaming of catching a good brownie or sea trout on the fly....the stocked lakes really spoiled the anticipation of fishing for me. One of my most memorable fish was probably only a 3/4 Lb wild brownie I caught when we had a weeks fishing near Lockerbie when I was a kid. I was on my own and will never forget the excitement of reeling it in and taking it home to eat. I wouldn't dream of eating a Rainbow, they taste like soil. 3 Quote Link to post
