morton 5,368
Morton, what do you mean cleansed? Jok has given me plenty of advice and trying his method I have now got 15/16 eggs fertile. I haven't cleaned any of the eggs before putting them in the incubator, do you think this will cause issues? Ed Washed thoroughly with a quality cleansing agent,i used to use anything that sterilised baby bottles. You can incubate 50 hen eggs that are not cleansed and you will lose a small proportion,if the incubator is not sterilised you will lose an higher proportion at the next hatch and so forth. You can set an incubator up to take 2 eggs of something far more valuable,in conservation terms and you cannot afford the percentages that un-cleansed eggs offer, especially to the incubator.
