Have to agree about the .410 v .22 and I use .410 myself these days with the 2 1/2 inch cartridge .

I have no choice but to use the 410 at the minute, it's my mates and plods got no sense of humour. Given a choice though I'd always take the .22 no mess, no smoke and all but silent

I use a little. 22 pistol. Tiny little thing that looks like it came out of a kinder egg. But it's ideal. And only £200 brand new. Iv been after a 410 pistol for a few years but there like hens teeth. And when they do come up there silly money.

Handy to have a good pistol at the ready , thats the job. Quicker than anything , less than three seconds especialy with a good calm man. Saw another longer yolk in front of me and was as swift .one second or less. Same thing drop a sick cow as quick or yourself if you was in his yard or home trying to rob him
