I have to other wise the police come looking for us even if we inform the farmer as there loads of busy body's that phone the police when they see lamping not issue to me as it's all Permission and keeps poachers away just some times get a really arsey copper on thr phone especially when we say we use lurchers not guns

That can happen for sure . Record the conversation and make a complaint politely asking to be informed of the outcome.
