must say i like both them two in the pics,,,but that bitch dont look like a first cross sal/grey,,,looks like it has that irish terrier blood in it ,,,you lads like over there

just curious. why would you put irish terrier into a line of running dog.is that not defeating the purpose i dont know much about top end coursing lines.what dose the irish terrier add. is that not like breeding gallileo to a hunter mare and expecting a derby winner.

 

oul line here phil king had.saluke.grey irish terrier.....some say a touch of wheaten yrs back...terrier must put the drive in them.these dogs are up n at em from start to finish..add the staying power of the english dogs seem to work.

i never mentioned a coursing hound needed to be a derby winner.the comparsion i was maken was gallileo is a top flat bread stallion and why would u let him cover a hunter mare i.e irish terrier and expect a running machine.nans pat reply was spot on and explanied to me why irish terrier blood is in his running dogs and what that blood adds.

the brother of mines in england..done 3,outta 3 a week back on the fens hes in semi final of a comp there.he won 64 dog comp here at 17mths..there doing summat right.

none ofthese present ones here have been on fens..but they were on big land and done the same as they do on small land.ie kill quick most races with these only last a minute or two at most.saying that.that wee bitch got a stinger the other week in carlow on big wet seeded ground over 3 minutes and finally killed it.lol.but thet suit us here just out a dander the always show a good hunt.

Two lads got the dogs taken off them in carlow last week one spent the night locked up and the dogs put down so I'm told .

i knew an irish lad that worked in lambourne for yrs in the early 90s.he would tell me about running in hounds on hares.and sometimes not even get a bend into a hare that the fields were that big.he mentioned he used go out coursing with lads called ginger french and chippa.he would say that he often saw 20 to30 hares in the mornings when going coursing.

using this dog i have on her,shes coming in now..ees doube bred irish lady stuff x full whippet 26tts had 6 full seasons,all gooduns.

whats the chances of any pups throwing small seeing they be 1/4 whippet.

Maybe a couple bitches will throw back ta whippet but if he unrelated there will be that little bit of diverse vigour another nice type ,these look so much like of the early types before lots became heavily saluki influenced it's in all probability the whippet refining them .atb bunnys.
