tomburras 2,730
That's crazy rez how can they let things like that go. If they invested in some polishing equipmment and take a bit of time and care the extra effort would make a massive difference. I can't understand why they don't. I Will be very interested to see pics too. Quote Link to post
just-A-snap 1,269
One should also remember that the importer and retailer also have played their part in this storey, All the best Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
Yep it does not surprise me, very poor indeed, what a stark contrast to my Walther LGV when I stripped it, everything super clean, lubed (almost) correctly, and the engineering was worlds apart from HW and even Air arms, what a shame a classic German air rifle maker has let things slip to such an extent. secretagentmole 1,701
Here is a nasty thought! If it is like that on the outside just imagine what the internals are like! Last 2 HW spring powereds we have had were awful internally. New, out of the box and buzzed, poor spring finishing gouging the internals and fillin it up with swarf! Needed tuning kits just to get them right. it is sad when the BMW of air rfles turns out to be built worse than a Yugo! 2 Quote Link to post
Rez 4,961
Had it apart again this eve. Just to up the power a touch. Anyway, got an image of the back block. The drilling on the pin holes... Now Im no engineer, but surely the QC at HC would of thought "Hmmmm, shall we do another one?". To be fair, it might of be sent from HW like this, but thats even worse. It doesn't effect the rifle in anyway, its just a shame. As an extra, should it be like this?! My old one wasn't and the drilling on me 97 is all well and surrounded by material. Quote Link to post
just-A-snap 1,269
You are a very forgiving man Rez.Good be on you.All the best Quote Link to post
mattwhite 1,993
As above Rez. You are a very forgiving fella. Trouble with manufacture today is QC is so hit and miss across the board. I have recently purchased refrigeration units that have had bloody great holes in them. Yes they may swap it for you and send an email of apology but nobody will actually really give enough of a s#*t to tighten QC. It's a tricky one. If enough people gave them back and kicked off then maybe, but they don't pal.? 1 Quote Link to post
Richard Collett 102
What makes it worse is they know their customers like to have a little look and fiddle so you would think QC would be shit hot knowing full well 20/30/40% of all rifles sold will have someone open them up. Not good mate but I hope she's bang on target and lovely to shoot now you have done your own QC on her ATB Richard 1 Quote Link to post
