Hughie Fury.v. Parker..

if he was that good he would still have the belts, that is fact he got lucky once and failed miserably too capitalise on it, sure he had talent, but if he was as good as he or his fans say fact is he would not be sat where he is today.

He has bought about his own downfall, everyone in boxing seen it coming a mile off, he lacked respect and looked down on everyone in the game for the short while he had the power and anyone would listen, victim of his own success , badly let down by those around him, who incidentally are those closest to him, which is the most shameful aspect of it all, they all took the money and share of glory but when it goes tits up nobody will tell the man the truth and he continues with the jibes and insults, all this week he has attempted to belittle another fighter who is having the fight he bailed on, he would of been better served simply keeping his mouth shut and working towards resolving his problems, he needs to address the drugs charges firstly, they not gong away, if they innocent go in their and proven it, if thy guilty take the punishment like a man and come back prove em wrong, everybody wants too see him back, but has he really got the minerals? its fine giving it large when your on top, but its another thing altogether being at the top hitting the bottom and coming right back up, now that would take some man, I think that sort of man would not be sat on twitter chatting crap he would be in a gym working away very hard just like the man who got him too the title did,

my honest opinion is there wont be any comeback, I hope to be proven wrong I really do

I think the Furys may have got hooked on hypocrisy.   They moan about David Haye messing them about only to become the biggest messers in the game.   They cry about discrimination whilst spoutin

At least they've got something to drop on after Boxing........

its simple. Sign up for a world title fight. Earn money off the media circus sponsorship deals etc get enough money for a new hobby and pick up then pull out. If ya run low on funds jus do it again

Honestly dont know what to say if you think his performance against wlad was luck. I'm not a Fury fan btw

Well to be fair, the man himself can't have thought he did that well or he'd have welcomed the rematch instead of ducking it.

I don't mean sheer luck pal, he did win it, I think it had as much too do with Wlad being stale and he did capitalise on it that night, but it weren't what you would hope of a real strong young contender with regards too the finish maybe? a KO would of been more definitive, for what its worth had he stayed focused I honestly think he would of handled Wlad better second time, and maybe got the KO, but the win stands and nobody can take that from him, its massive thing for certain, but for me its soured by the disrespect he showed before and after the fights toward his opponent and the whole world, as Ive said before its not like they have to be role models that's their choice, but why moan about everyone hating you when you the one who alienated tem in the first place

I lve boxing as many do but would not choose too watch that particular fight if I was going to watch some good old fights, it weren't a classic by a long shot, it was just a ground out win on a poor night, maybe Wlad made him fight that way who knows, but being the greatest f all time as he claims to be? well that takes a lot more than he has shown anyone, look at AJ has them words come out his mouth once? even young Hughie does he chat like that? how great is your victory when you tell everyone your opponent rubbish and pass it, Id rather be rubbish and passed it with countless defences of my unified world title than what could in future be looked at as a one off flash n pan win

he a good boxer with a lt of improving too do, long way from finished article and deffo not the opus he thinks he is, and if he is then he will be back and prove us all wrong ?

You can't be lucky for 12 rounds against the world's best HW.

but you can meet him when his motivation is at an all time low, and anyone can win once Douglas, McCall and many others testament to that fact, gain it hold it unify it and defend it that's what great fighters do, one offs win it once and then never heard of again, its up too Tyson how he wants too be remembered in history, he might be able to convince his own fans he the greatest and even himself but its the world he really needs too convince,

The way he's acted after winning the belts is pathetic and not the behaviour of a World Champion.

Yes mate of course I give him credit ,he won a world title ,an incredible achievement in any era ,also he would by his sheer size and awkwardness hold his own against some of the really great boxers of the past ,BUT I will not be told he has good technique or footwork when its apparent to any one who has a nodding acquaintance with a boxing ring that he hasn't ,

I am not a Fury hater ,I just think the lad could be so much better with the right people around him .

Reading a thread like this its real easy to see who has ever laced a glove on and who hasnt !

One thing that i find strange is why folk give it the " he must be good he won a world title "..........while the lad is actually a bit better than i originally thought he is still far from being great or even good this is the heavyweight division we are talking about you dont have to be good if you are a human giant have people forgotten the Russian guy Valuev i would go as far as to say on skills and ability there are 11 year old boys in gyms all over the country who are better fighters than him,yet he was a 2 time world champion !!.....Fury is a very average boxer with massive physical advantages the hit and run tactics he used on Klitchsko were perfect ....i actually think putting him in with a puncher would be hilarious he doesnt have the power to stop someone in their tracks or the chin to absorb a good shot......a guy his size can fiddle his way to victory once or twice but you cant build a whole career on being a giant spoiler.

No he,s not he,s what we used to call in the old days a box fighter.......punchers/sluggers are not concerned with scoring points they totally commit to getting the finish and rely on their punch to win the fight......just because a fighter hits hard doesnt make them a puncher/slugger.

I was talking about him being a big hitter, when you say someone is a puncher most of the time you're on about their power.

Wlad is a classic boxer/puncher.
