I think Barracuda Hunter Extreme is an excellent pellet

The group below is 10 shots from a .177 pcp at 28yrds.

At sub 12 velocities they're not going to expand as the maker probably intended but, the head shape cuts a very neat round hole in a paper target. Transfer this, and the greater surface area created by the shape of the of the face, to live quarry, you've got a very effective hunting pellet

I totally agree, at sub 12 power they do not expand as they might at higher velocity, however, they do make a hell of a crack when you hit something, and having used them for a while now, absolutely everything I shoot with them is lights out,I have never been a fad pellet fan, but these break the mold, super accurate in my Brocock s6, I am half tempted to add an fac air rifle to my ticket, I reckon in .22 or .25 at 30+ ftlbs they would be amazing, mushrooming out very well, hmmmmm food for thought.

I want them just for the sound now... :) through my 98 running close to 12, should be a match made.

What's the available head sizes? Just thinking of me rapid. Valves on its way out, the more shots I have the higher the power rises... the more accurate and laser like it gets. Hunter extremes may fit the bill. I doubt they'll do them in .52 mind.

The last mag is toping out @ 11.9999999999 ;) they may just crumple on impact.

I may be wrong but I dont think they do them in different head sizes mate, so give them a go and see, I would have thought the 98 would like them, but as always its trial and error, my s6 is running at 11.7 with them, honestly the sound they make on a squirrels skull or on a body shot woody is most impressive indeed.
