Malt 379
If Johnny sexton keeps getting targeted for concussion in every match he plays in he will end up dead or seriously injured. Maybe something could be done about protecting players before rather than after a tragedy happens. For what's supposed to be a gentlemans sport deliberately targeting players who have previous head injuries isn't very sporting. i was always told by my old man, it's gentlemens sport ,played by thugs , and you look back over the years some of the its, fights that gone on , on a rugby pitch , my old dad was right . But i think there trying to change it now, even though george north , only resiliently had to tackles and was took off for safety reasons , anything to do with (head, neck, spine ) they bring them off . ive always thought my self that these players , must fookin ache for week or 2 after a game, i know there bigger and stronger than your average man, but even at 14 st of muscle like sexton , going to get hurt bad with 18 1/2 st strong fit man hitting him , just look at some of the hits jonny wilkinson as took over the years , it was only because he was fit and got the exter muscle on him to protect him he was similar size to sexton . i love football love the wolves they won yesterday , but some of footballers today rolling around on the floor make me laugh , bloody wimps lol, if the took the punishment a rugby player takes , them never come out of the changing room actualy ray ,,,the famous quote is,,,,,,"rugby is a thugs game played by gentlemen,,,and football is a gentlemens game played by thugs"... didnt see the wales game,,,,,however last week i said how barnes was now loved by the taffs,,,,,,its good to see hes back to his old self... well done ireland.. .... Always said he was a shite ref...
Paulnix 426
Well done Ireland, very well deserved win and a stop start tournament for who were supposed to be favourites but they have a great team to build on and seem to have strength in depth. England needed to lose for their progression just a shame it was on Saturday !! we seem to miss on field leaders to drag us over the finish line when the game is tight, the makeshift back row didn't really work, fullback could be replaced for someone who passes but once it opens up we often get the win with Ford/Farrell finding good space. Bit dirty tactics by the French to deny Wales and Barnes did his best to not let the swap take place but once the doc wandered on and said it was going to be a head injury assessment his hands were tied. Wales need to drop a few of the old guard and get back to playing the Welsh way, Warrenball worked for a couple of years until the rest caught on to how to stop it and they really need to stop bitching to the ref so much. Scotland seem to of targeted 3 wins for a successful 6N's which they got just have a feeling once they beat Ireland it they should of looked to 4 wins plus a closer loss to get what they wanted out of it, thought the Scots played better when Laidlaw was missing with faster more go forward service which their backs deserve. Italy again pretty pointless apart from the England game which showed everyone how professional rugby players can't adapt from the coaching structures. beast 1,884
well played ireland, great performance on the day after an inconsistent champuionship. eddie jonbes has said all along that this is just the start of a 4 year project, and i think we still have some way to go, but certainly england will be a force to be reckoned with for some time it was clear from the beginning that this would be the closest championship for years, and actually here are 5 teams which in all honesty could all beat each other on any given day. best scots and french teams for years, english irish and welsh can all play better than they did for much of the time roll on the lions tour.......
