grompz 703
no doubt if you tried to get a patt from one one of these rescue centres, first thing they would ask are yougoing to work it, which is usually a big no no,they usually like them to go to a nice elderly couple and never get achance of doing what they love to do,what a sad lifeand existence, for such game dogs. 2 Quote Link to post

Yep people buying dogs they know nothing about just because they look nice and then expect them to be lapdogs, a lot of these terriers that end up in these centres are pts because of aggression issues due to being in the wrong home and seeing no work. 2 Quote Link to post
Northern Rock 512
Bloke near me has three, never ever seen them off the lead, snarling at anything that comes near. Shame as they are a nice stamp and have some spirit. 1 Quote Link to post
TOPPER 1,809
to much irresponsible breeding so they get sold on to pet home then folk cant cope with them so they get shot of them it will be another nail in the coffin of working terriers Quote Link to post
oz0707 65
The bitch I've got come from a pet home who couldn't cope. As been said above people don't really appreciate what they're getting especially if from working stock. Lad who looked after mine when I was away has a kc border and it's like chalk and cheese. Pet dogs have been bred to be chilled out, docile etc Quote Link to post
