DogMan85 722
They're good wellies for work, last for ages and are warm. Can start to feel heavy later in the day if you're in them for long. I've a pair of 9s going here, hardly worn. 35£ plus p and p which will be a fair bit I'd say unless you're local, north west I'm a size 11 pal, cheers.

Gilbey 1,441
I need them for work, we do a lot of work in water around culverts. I noticed the Dunlop wellies come in different classes like agricultural and industrial. I don't really know the difference as both have steel toecaps and midsole protection.can get different treads for different jobs, green farmer style prob do your job

Being on the railway they will need ankle support. Edited January 26, 2017 by DogMan85
Fat-Ferret 857
I've tried all types and there all shite, but I bought a pair of those le chameau affairs with a zip last year, and there shite too....the zip came clean off two weeks ago I don't think they're designed for daily use to be honest. Nice comfortable wellies but way too expensive to use every day and wear out. More for folks who shoot and get ferried about in range rovers I'd say your right, those "peg" types!! jacknife 2,005
Every time I watch one of those Alaskan last frontier programs I notice they all wear a brown with beige sole wellies Not sure on the make but they seem to be very popular
DogMan85 722
I've found the pair for me, Dunlop Explorer Safety Wellingtons, -50°c rated and ankle support that's needed for the railway. Not cheap at £95 but should last me a good few years. On one website they are going for as much as £230, crazy. Edited January 26, 2017 by DogMan85
jok 3,269
I am having a chuckle reading this thread. Bought a lovely pair of Aigle zip up wellies being a man of the country so to speak. Building a new garage and having 8 mets of concrete delivered, you do what you do and wear what you have.. On with the Aigles and bingo, footings in. I complained to the supplier since the Zips didn't work and he ho got a new pair. Now that's buying the right gear. LOL?Jok.

PeskyWabbits 464
I am on my second pair of these Buckler Buckbootz. Pricey at £70 but you can shop around. I was miffed when the first pair leaked after 10 months but they had had a pigs gob round them on a few occasions. The second pair were new/unwanted off ebay and have lasted so far about 8 months. They are much better than standard rubber wellies and I would have another pair when these kark it. These have a steel toe and shank, so they stand up on their own. They are genuinely made in Scotland not like those overpriced Hunters (now just a brand and made in China) and even Muckboots are made in China. I wear wellies daily though not all day and mine rarely last a year. My Uniroyals lasted 10 years but that was before I bought my farm - so weekends and annual sledging duties.
