secretagentmole 1,701
I said I had a possibility of getting another air rifle. Well our bid won, today we picked it up, may I introduce Mylf, My Little Friend! Well it was at Holts, it is a British made break barrel, it is a carbine, with a High Efficiency gas ram system, in .22! Tried with Crosman Premier and it is running at a pleasant 10.65 ft lb, will try some other pellets to see what suits it best but I am happy with it. The scope and mounts came from the local RFD, it is a Kassnar Vistascope, 4x40, complete with mounts. All told the outfit cost us £185! Which is not too bad. Problem is the stock was broken prior to sale. The repair is of very good quality, but obviously held the price down. Nice and quiet, compact and very nice to look at. Not bad for £185 including commission! Edited January 25, 2017 by secretagentmole 5 Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
Not bad value is it, little short nudge recoil and that lovely short barrel. It is a great little gun, can't wait to get it set up down the permission and see what it can do accuracy and hunting wise. Just feels nice. I used to live less than 5 minutes away from the factory is/was located, 45 years ago! Edited January 25, 2017 by secretagentmole 1 Quote Link to post
Rez 4,961
I want a new Fenman. But leaning towards a 98 now. Always want Fenmans though. Trying to keep me eye out for a .20, but .20 Fenmans go like hot cakes. Best looking field rifles I think. Of anything. Especially the MK1's. Quote Link to post

johnbaz 363
Hi MoleyIt's a late Fenman as the scope rail was dropped on the later guns and dovetails were cut straight in to the cylinder, Yours has a Walnut stock, Mine has a Shedua stock, I swapped one of my HW95's for it You did extremely well for the price!, A little tip, If you strip the action for any reason, Never try cocking the gun out of the stock as it damages them!!I used mine at the Boinger bash at Micks farm in Nuneaton, After half an hour my arm was nearly dropping off, I chrono'd it when I got home, It was doing aroung 18ft lbs I removed the valve plug at the rear and tapped the schrade valve a few times with a punch to release a bit of pressure, It dropped to 8ft lbs!! I bought a filler probe but my pump is kaput and I don't fancy using the 300bar cylinder I'll leave it until a mate brings ghis pump!!!John 2 Quote Link to post

Do you mean Kassnar Moley? If so they extremely good period scopes with quality Japanese glass Mine has a Meopta 6x42 which I think is a centrefire scope that's been reparalaxed for airgun ranges (May be wrong though!!)
