Thinking of getting one to shoot rats whilst I'm carp fishing what are they like any good?

Yeah man, should be fine. Assuming your getting the shoulder attachment and an optic of some sort. If you can stretch the budget, take a look at the SMK CP1 I think it's called. Multishot bolt action. Good looker too.

If you can take a rifle with you go for an SMK QB78, again Co2 powered, but more powerful and easily tunable. The 2240 being a pistol is really only good for rats at the feet, rats on the far bank need a rifle!

I have a red dot 1MAO sight you can have for 30 beans mate. Just saying like. Had it about 4 years, used on my own BSA Lightening.

Get the cp1 one mate, I had one, great pistol, the only thing I would have over it is the Sheridan co2 pistol if you can find one, they are brilliant, and with a head shot will kill a rabbit or rat at 10-15 yards.

Its actually quite nice, simple but crisp without a lot of creep, I will get another one at some point, I tell you what, they are bloody accurate, and you can get the multi shot mag too.

Nowt wrong with the 2240 ,very easy to improve without spending beans .The valve mod is all over the internet gives a 25% increase in power and just fitting a moderator increases the barrel length so the power goes up the longer the barrel the more power the CO2 gives at the pointy end
