Venom Strike Torch

Recommended Posts

I will put this in this section as it's airgun relevant.

We've been trailing this torch for a few months. Aimed at the airgun market but I use it on the LR comfortably.

The Nightmaster Venom strike.

For us, the attraction to this torch was the dimmer function. Useful on the rats. I find T20's too powerful for rats

The specs should be available on the link above.

The honest opinion. It's well made and fairly rugged but not worth the money when you compare it along side a T20.

It's not as powerful as the T20 but the beam will stretch out more than enough for airgun and rimfire range. It is also tighter than the T20.

You can attach a battery extension tube for a tenner to give you more life but one battery lasts a decent night out on full power.

They also do a change of leds but as we mainly use red that's not something we've tried.

It has an aespheric lens and it spots to flood fairly well.

The main issue is that the dimmer is temperamental. Now we bought 3 of these torches so it's not just a fault on 1.

When it works it works well but more often than not the dial is very unresponsive. If this can be resolved as the technology moves along then it would be a very handy little lamp.

A rat tail can be attached but that removes the dimmer function.

It is single mode.

As for the money. I would stick with the T20 for now.

The price on the website is torch only.
