The Right To Die

Recommended Posts

It was decriminalised by the 1961 suicide act, you cant get done for it in other words. What use that is in real terms I dont know though!

Does that mean before 1961 you could get done for attempted suicide i wonder ?......bit of a bummer having your stomach pumped only to be laying in recovery and be told " right your nicked ".

Supposedly by a law passed in 1845 the penalty for attempted suicide was death by hanging, weird or what.

Guy on tv Noel Conway is challenging the government for the right to die.   He is suffering from motor neurone disease, and wants to die when he feels the time is right. Do you agree with him?   I

i have watched friends and family fade away horribly with cancer and other diseases, and i don't want to go through that. i support anybodys right to a digniified pain free end on their own terms.

No....the worlds f****d when somebody else can tell you to suffer.

So if someone wants to die by ethunasia, is it suicide?, or is it murder?

Why cant people just die naturally like 99% of everyone else that has died in the world, if they want to kill themselves they should do it themselves, just before that point, as someone said, i think my mum was brave for fighting to the end, not the other way about?

Anyone who agrees with it, why do they not kill themselves?

Everybody has their own opinions on such a subject like this, and rightly so. But what is the definition of dying naturally? Apart from suicide or assisted suicide what would be termed as natural? Is dying of aids natural, or asbestos or cancer caught through contact with whatever toxic substance, lung cancer due to passive smoking? The list of man made killer diseases is endless. So apart from a sudden massive heart attack due to old age what would be natural?
