100 birds?? WTF happened to the couple for the pot day's

Why is it acceptable, or some see it as acceptable to take 100 pheasants what a somebody has paid for and put time and effort into rearing. I wonder how many men on here would have the same opinions i

Should be treated like any other thieves. To me there's a difference between poaching a bird or two for the pot and taking 100.

So should you go to jail if caught poaching rabbits or deer on someone else's land also or even hares ?

Surely you see a difference between lamping a few wild rabbits off a man's land without permission, to mopping up with catapults 100 roosting pheasants that a man has bought, fed & reared!
yeah I see a difference but I don't think you should go to jail for any type of poaching whether it be pheasant rabbit hare or deer or salmon Edited by dark-destroyer-85

Does that include farming stock

It's rustling or theft if you steal farm livestock not poaching.

Why is it acceptable, or some see it as acceptable to take 100 pheasants what a somebody has paid for and put time and effort into rearing. I wonder how many men on here would have the same opinions if they had something poached or stolen that had not only a monetary value but hours of time and effort?

2 or 3 for the pot or maybe half a dozen could be acceptable losses, but 100? Those where taken for profit and no other reason, not unless of course that the man who took them thinks of himself as a modern day Robin Hood and was intending to distribute his ill gotten gains to the needy :hmm:

On a more serious note, the facts are they poached or stole 100 game birds, not wild birds, somebodies property. Firing a ball bearing from a catapult at the keeper and rammed a car in the process, aggravated poaching and trespass. Make no mistake that keeper and land owner will now tar everybody with a lurcher terrier ferrets with the same brush and let nobody on that land. Support their actions all you like, but don't complain when you try and get permission and be told to f**k off

On a let day when a keeper has to produce the goods a 100 birds can make all the difference. A lot more than 50 quid i know. If a coursing man was paying for his sport and hypotheticly speaking he was rearing 200 hares and joe c**t steals/poaches a 100 he would be soon shouting the place down.
