Arry 23,219
Get her to the vet mate, maybe if she was ill could be why she was crapping in her nest box. Good luck with her. Milk is not much good for them mate try an egg. Cheers Arry Edited January 6, 2017 by Arry 1 Quote Link to post

Chaff 3,636
Yeah she drinking have had her drinking from saucer OK, wife has just took both to vets its now going to cost but having to start again will be a long time before I can get another as from a 30+ year working strain and want to keep with them. Also the Chance's of someone gifting me a good working ferret this time of year are slim. Time will tell I guess Quote Link to post
patterdale 675
I totally agree with what has already been said, sleeping area to big and also is their food dish away from bedding area? What I mean is if they can just poke their head out of sleeping area and reach their food they won't need to enter rest of cage and get lazy and poo in bedding? Could the ferret be ill due to cold weather or draughty cage or is it sleeping in damp bedding where it could also be peeing in compartment? 1 Quote Link to post

The one 8,533
I'm struggling with this as you said you have two and presumable they both eat the same food ? Makes you wonder why ones poorly and the others fine ? You don't do anything different with them ? 1 Quote Link to post

Guest vin
Just had chat to old boy in pub that know his ferrets said raw chicken bones they can damage gut and cause infection ? if your giving it cows milk that will make it poorly.. ferrets are lactose intolerant. and the old boy in the pub is talking out of his pint pot.. raw chicken bones wont harm them, especially wings etc etc.. baked in the oven chicken bones become brittle and can shatter, causing problems..but raw is soft and easily digested. Fair does mate she had cow juice this morning thought it might pick her up bad move by the sounds, just given her a drop of honey and water opened box and she put her head out the top seems to have picked up a tad, perhaps antibiotics are working ?
