Get her to the vet mate, maybe if she was ill could be why she was crapping in her nest box. Good luck with her.

If making it smaller isn't a option I'd stick a food bowl in every corner! They won't or at least shouldn't poo near their food. I'd use a non imonia based cleaning product, they recommend no bio

Your sleeping areas to big next time you clean it out use bleach to mast the smell of there old feces and move some to where you want them to crap

Maybe the sleeping area is a bit big so they think it won't affect there bedding if they go in the other corner.

After defreezing their water bottle this morning only one ferret came out the other not moving alive but limp just given her some warm milk and put her back to bed be gutted if she goes was showing signs of a good worker, life lesson for my kids if she goes as they have named them :(

Hope she makes a miraculous recovery for yours and the kids sake. ???

Just had a mate round he didn't think she was on deaths door as drinking well and eating dry food 2 days ago I gave them a couple of chicken legs (raw) that's the only thing different they have eaten and the other ones fine, hopefully she will start to pick up I am checking on her every hour or so.

Yeah she drinking have had her drinking from saucer OK, wife has just took both to vets its now going to cost but having to start again will be a long time before I can get another as from a 30+ year working strain and want to keep with them. Also the Chance's of someone gifting me a good working ferret this time of year are slim.

Time will tell I guess

I totally agree with what has already been said, sleeping area to big and also is their food dish away from bedding area? What I mean is if they can just poke their head out of sleeping area and reach their food they won't need to enter rest of cage and get lazy and poo in bedding?

Could the ferret be ill due to cold weather or draughty cage or is it sleeping in damp bedding where it could also be peeing in compartment?

I'm struggling with this as you said you have two and presumable they both eat the same food ? Makes you wonder why ones poorly and the others fine ? You don't do anything different with them ?

Exactly I don't know what the cause of it could be?

Just had chat to old boy in pub that know his ferrets said raw chicken bones they can damage gut and cause infection ?

if your giving it cows milk that will make it poorly.. ferrets are lactose intolerant.

and the old boy in the pub is talking out of his pint pot.. raw chicken bones wont harm them, especially wings etc etc.. baked in the oven chicken bones become brittle and can shatter, causing problems..but raw is soft and easily digested.

Fair does mate she had cow juice this morning thought it might pick her up bad move by the sounds, just given her a drop of honey and water opened box and she put her head out the top seems to have picked up a tad, perhaps antibiotics are working ?

Nothing wrong with raw chicken bones after I empty the freezers of rabbits mine get fed on chicken carcasses for the rest of the summer till I start ferreting again
