walshie 2,804
I got a new desktop a while back preloaded with windows 10. Seems to work fine except one thing. When it goes into sleep mode if it hasn't been used for a while, it won't wake up. Moving the mouse or pressing a key is supposed to wake it up, but it doesn't. I hear it whirring and trying to wake up but i have to switch it off then on again to get it to work. It seems to be a fairly common issue, but there doesn't seem to be one solution to answer to it. Anyone else have this?

Tiercel 6,986
Open command prompt as administrator when you open that you will see system32 written there. After the system 32 type powercfg /h off and that will switch hibernation off. And before you ask. TC

walshie 2,804
lots of updates http://support.hp.com/gb-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-550-100-Desktop-PC-series/8499648/model/11906016 Updated the BIOS - not easy when you don't even know what a BIOS is, but completed successfully. Doesn't make any difference though.
