Popular Post Squirrel_Basher 17,100
Had a look out yesterday on a small shoot .Mate travelled up to mine for an 8 am start and got to farm about 20 past on a nice frosty morning .First thing we see is a fox going away under a gate but headed in the right direction to a shelter belt full of holes .Got a mark at the first place but I know this runs out into the neighbours field and he's touchy at the best of times so moved on .Another mark at a small 3 holder ,a place you would walk by without a marking dog, entrances caved in and cluttered with fallen branches but the dogs marked true .Netted up and entered the bitch .Few thuds and she settled next to a tree baying away nicely.Box said 1.1 .Let her settle and started digging which was hampered by a large root which I was loathe to cut really .Digging either side we got down to her through the loam and despatched a small underweight vixen .No more marks so went for a burger and coffee. 29 Quote Link to post

Squirrel_Basher 17,100
Lookin at the picture again ,that's a fair root chainsaw job Yes mate .I had a fold up saw which would of coped but don't like cutting a root that size for the sake of the tree ,me being sensitive and all that .fBeddies are the tallest of our breeds as I'm sure your aware but not necessarily heavy with it .I'll take a guess that the bitch is about 14 inches to the shoulder and the dog maybe 15 -16 .Someone will put me right no doubt . 1 Quote Link to post
