Minkenry 1,044
Has anyone ever heard of a company that makes a locator collar for earth work that also doubles as an e-collar for training? I'm kinda doubting they exist, but I don't understand why not. The hound and bird dog guys have a multitude of different brands and models of collars that work as both a long distance locator (rather than one made for earth work) and an electric training collar, all in one unit. But I've never heard of any earth work locator collars that double as a training collar. Has anyone heard of such a thing, and if so who makes them? Thanks to anyone who replies! jiggy 3,209
Nice to see new technology but if you have no wifi signal then your dog could die in ground if you can't find it. Quote Link to post

wipeout 80
if you were to enter the dog just check the signal first same way you check everything is working on the bellman before you enter your dog Quote Link to post

jiggy 3,209
if you were to enter the dog just check the signal first same way you check everything is working on the bellman before you enter your dogmy wifi comes and goes by the minute works when you don't want it and won't when you do need it. A bellman is a bit more reliable it's rare that they fail even though it can happen Quote Link to post
Treehands. 1,379
The use of an electric training collar on a dog is an admittance of inability in the owner. I'm surprised minkhenry that you would consider using one. 2 Quote Link to post

neil cooney 10,416
I'm completely useless when it comes to technology but by E-Collar do you mean the electric collars that are used by those who can't train dogs ? I hope that no fool ever, ever think of combining one of those with a locating collar. Think about it. A terrier goes to ground and is doing what his heart tells him to do and is then punished !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like I say, I'm not technologically minded so I hope I'm wrong. 1 Quote Link to post

It's hard to bielieve but some dogs are so driven it's needed and I ain't talking about terriers ?? Quote Link to post
