Where do the police hold the dogs? Do they have their own pound or is it subbed out to somebody else

Regardless of how the dog went missing, the responsibility of the dog is solely that of the officer who took it from the owner. Once that officer has taken the dog the future welfare of that animal is upon him, regardless of who or were the dog is housed. He or she cannot blame anybody else as it was them who took the dogs.

 

If it was my dog I would hammer them through the courts, by the time I had finished that officer would not look twice at another dog.

The police put any mutts seized into private kennels,often as far from the owner as possible,its the private kennel that will most certainly have lost the dog,its still the responsibility of the police as they are accountable for the seizure.Ill warrant the plod and the kennel will seek a quick and silent solution to it all.

 

Private kennels are sometimes not geared up for working dogs and because of this dogs can escape. Fences and exercise areas can be inadequate.
