PaulJC 14
I was out the other night about 10pm and had a surprise call from the police.... "Hello Mr PaulJC, It's the police here, someone has reported your vehicle being at the end of a byway and we are just making sure it is you? And we have on record that you are an SGC holder and just wondered if you were shooting so we can ignore any further calls relating to noise etc..."As it happens i wasn't shooting, i never have shot outside of a clay ground, i enjoy a bit of time lapse photography which is what i was doing at the time, but i thought the manner with which the police dealt with it was very good... I did advise them I had a stove with me and they could send a car along for a brew if they really wanted too but they were quite happy not to attend... And this was the end result of a couple of hours sitting in a field...http://www.youtube.com/embed/rzQShC8kXyMHaving spent quite a bit of time outdoors really I have realised just how much I enjoy it, i think it's time to diversify myself away from clay grounds (which i'm not very good at anyway) and take on some other shooting...
JDHUNTING 1,817
I wouldn't say there doing it right for once I'd wonder why the police are following up a report of a parked car and not something more pressing like you know crime or something

PaulJC 14
Parked 4x4 at the end of a dead end byway that didn't come back out for hours, i can understand the suspicion of what i assume was a house i drove past on the way up there...Much rather a phone call than a car turning up with a couple of nervous bobbies thinking i've got a firearm and am up to no good... PaulJC 14
That little bit of film is quality mate . . How many hrs is in that clip ?? I had to cut it short as the lens was fogging over, so it's about 2 hours in there... I have a lens heater on the way so i can stay out longer... It's actually very therapeutic, once everything is set up, it's sitting outdoors watching stars for a few hours, get the stove on and have a brew or two Edited December 30, 2016 by PaulJC
kanny 20,611
With rural crime being as high as it is I'd say its reassuring that the police are doing there job nice video Edited December 30, 2016 by kanny

dytkos 17,800
I arse ended a car in town a few months back. There were a couple of hobby bobbys just up the road who took great pleasure in breathalysing me and checking me out. After the negative blow, senior PCSO's next question was, "do you possess any firearms?" I replied that you know I have youve just checked me out and and what relevence was that to a minor rta? Just protecting the public sir was the answer ffs The younger female PCSO asked me who the chap was that was with me, I told here he was someone waiting for a bus at the bus stop we'd pulled into. Doh! They fcked off soon after Cheers, D.
