TOMO 26,037
theres one i remember in particular trigg,,,,must be 25 or more year ago now,,up the dales,,,one of them runs almost like a hare,,bloody good rabbit it was took the dog all over this little field,,,theres a stream next to it,,,then rabbit runs over to the stream and slips in,,,and starts paddling out,,,,im watching it with the lamp,,,it swims down stream and my bitch is watching it,,,,shes following on the bank,,she hated water,,,,it goes down stream maybe 50 meters,,im starting to get alot of respect for this bunny,,,and im thinking i want it to get away,,,but my bitch has other ideas,,,its swiming clooser and closer to the bank, and my bitch is waiting in ambush,,,,but as it hits the bank,,,theres a rabbit hole under the bank,,not under the water,,but below the grass line on one of them over hanging banks,,,the sly bugger new what it was doing,,a bit wet maybe ,,,but it got away..... 6 Quote Link to post
dytkos 17,784
I once ferreted a market garden and a baby bunny bolted, maybe slipped the net or went through it, unfortunately went into drainpipe down spout but the dog pulled it out. Cheers, D. Quote Link to post
morton 5,368
Sea front at Morecambe bay,a massive rock pile on the front, not a blade of grass withing 100,s of metres and always a few rabbits scuttling amidst the rocks.Road into Dundee and a roundabout in an heavily commercial area and at least 5 rabbits sat about.Strangest of the lot a lad with a flimsy Whippet and he had 3 rabbits in his rucksack .
