I use straw for the ferrets bedding and wood shavings in the run.Mine are outside in a hutch and even in this weather they are nice and warm.

Yes it will be galvanised.

Im sure the ferrets will like it, I only picked them up a few days ago, lovely friendly things. The last owner had them in a tiny hutch, the claws were well over grown and one looks like it's got ear mites. It keeps scratching his head and black shit in its ears. Ffs a pack of beaphar spot on is a fiver.

Sounds like they got a nice home now mate with somebody who is going to look after them. I've used Spot On for ear mites before seems to work okay. Good luck and happy hunting for the new year.

like tomo said a cardboard box is great as a bed, just chuck the whole thing on the bonfire every week or so. i use the heavy paper sacks you get chicken feed in, just roll the top down a bit so they can get in and out properly and stuff with straw or shredded paper, hay is too dusty for myliking. again, can be burnt or binned weekly at no cost
