How Much? Ffs

Recommended Posts

Seen an ad on telly for one of those build/collect magazines for the Dolorian off of Back to the Future. First copy £2.99 I think. Builds into the car with factsheets, diagrams etc etc.

Regular price £8.99, complete in 130 issues, thats almost £1200.

Is anyone really rich/stupid enough to buy these?

Cheers, D.

Can't be many oligarchs watching top gear on Dave channel to warrant publishing and advertising that on TV :D

I used to work with people in this industry what happens is that around 10000 buy the first issue

They then have a halflife of 1 issue until maybe less than a hundred buy it all the way through

Although if the circulation dips, it will get stopped and pulped , the price is to cover the risk of the contract being stopped

Many years ago I pestered my nana god bless her for in combat a similar weekly thing based on the military

For the princely sum of 1.35 a week i got all the issues

It's still here on my book shelves in binders such as smart bombs, elite fighting forces , very eighties but I loved it
