dai dogs 1,751
Was talking to a farmer friend last night just before Lamping her ground she was saying that the army were watching the river that runs through here land . She was saying that they watch for poachers they stay until daybreak i was wondering who pays for this service as its not the usual sort of thing you would expect the forces to do. DIDO.1 22,851
It has happened. I don't know if they used it as a surveillance training thing but Iv heard of the army helping with poacher watch
delswal 3,819
Once knew a farmer up by Catterick who was once approached by the forces and asked if he could deploy men for night time manoeuvres training on his land, if they spotted poachers they would observe and follow them until the police arrived, kinda makes sense for both parties, but how true or widespread this is, who knows? Not bad training if thats happening. Explains a lot really, I thought I was being followed by a tank, but just put that down to the dodgy mushrooms I tried.
THE STIFFMEISTER 16,456
It's impossible , the army are not the police , I can't even begin to explain the differences and the legality of it Stop believing day dream nonsense about the army

THE STIFFMEISTER 16,456
It doesn't work like that I knew a snco who had his arse handed to him for snapping a wire fence on sheep land Bit annoyed now at the days of my life I have lost travelling to thetford otterburn salisbury plain and Devon when we can now apparently just go and ask a farmer next door to come and cut around on his land 100 strong willy billy
