that is down to the dumbing down of society, there is know other living mammal that can't feed itself, modern man is almost totally fecked and completely dependant on the state now to keep them alive,

i don't even do that mate, I'm just taking my dogs for a walk, in the countryside, and at the moment that's still legal, it's also not illegal to occasionally get lost and walk for miles across privat

Can't afford to do it,if you get caught they transport you to Australia.

2 dog men got caught last year doing fields next to permission I use and they got £650 fine each.

Another 1 waiting to appear in court at the minute.

I am sure almost all land is walked by somebody not ment to.. just how it is

Is there such a thing over there and if there is do you have heavy fines for those that poach?

Its only called poaching if they catch you !

You can receive a heavy fine (apparently !), dogs can be confiscated and woe betide anyone caught poaching with a weapon !

Punishments are nowhere near as harsh as they used to be, though......

The authorities introduced a variety of man-traps and spring-guns, the purpose of which was to kill, mutilate or break the poachers legs, this was mainly as a deterrent to poachers.

Punishments for Poachers became worse. Poachers were sentenced to longer terms of imprisonment. The less fortunate were, from 1816, transported to places like New South Wales (Australia) for fourteen years. Between 1750 and 1820, more poachers than before were hanged, particularly those convicted of using a firearm or wounding a gamekeeper.

During 1830s man-traps and spring-guns were made illegal, and a Act in 1883 allowed tenants to kill rabbits and hares on their own farms, so ending one of the most hated parts of the old game laws. On the other hand, the law remained heavily on poachers. Poachers could still be transported to penal colony, or imprisoned for up to seven years. By the Poaching Prevention Act of 1862 anyone suspected of carrying poaching implements could be stopped and searched by the police. poachers were treat more harshly than any other people accused of other types of theft in the 19th Century, this shows that the views on poaching changed more slowly than many other forms of theft on property since 1750.

The only people who poach over here are the real tough guys with massive nuts and bigger mouths. Everyone else just goes hunting.

i don't even do that mate, I'm just taking my dogs for a walk, in the countryside, and at the moment that's still legal, it's also not illegal to occasionally get lost and walk for miles across private land in an attempt to get back to the public footpath you were trying to follow, I,m quite a solitary person and very rarely take anyone out with me which I think is one of the biggest problems with poachers, they tend to work in groups of two or more, which makes landowners more likely to phone the police than just come over and tell you to feck off, I got in much more trouble pre ban going out with mates than I ever have since the ban and becoming a miserable anti social old b*****d, mates = liability
