We released a brace a couple of weeks ago and the vixen looked in heat.

Were they deep fox dropper, soil looks marl like, horrible stuff to dig in drier conditions.

Dry clay yes and about 1.7 though dug on a bit to the vixen .We have several types of soil here sometimes on same farm .Took us 2 hours to dig that mind ,so dry .

Only now seeing your post FD! Second pic is a cracker. Had brace around five weeks ago! Since then been awful to be honest, hounds not pushing them hard enough to go to ground scent is hit and miss, full cry one minute and then milling around searching for a line! Nothing so queer as scent, never mind got to get better. ATB
