I enjoyed it. The bald lad didn't have any defence at all. Better than your average gypsy fight by far. Couple of game lads who would both be sore in the morning. You wonder about the wisdom of fighting in that condition, at that age with no doctor present. Wonder how well paid it is?

My great grandfather was a bear knuckle fighter so Iv been brought up on the stories (prob made up) and Iv watched quite a lot of fights as being a soft arse it's the closest I'd get....they are almost all just embarrassing disappointments. These were actually quite good. It takes some effort to stand up to so many punches. Yes they were fat lard arses but you try doing one round..... fighting is bloody hard work, no matter how much everyman believes they can suddenly pull off some ninja stuff with their natural talent

Same here. grandad moved from Wales to work on the railways when he was a lot younger. He used to fight to top up his money.

 

He's in 90s now but, he's still got fists like canon balls.

 

I'm fecked if I'd give it a go.
